Following three consecutive wins in the league and Nedbank Cup on Sunday, Kaizer Chiefs will aim for a fourth triumph on the trot when they visit Maritzburg United this coming weekend in the DStv Premiership in KwaZulu-Natal’s capital, Pietermaritzburg..
Chiefs and Maritzburg United will be locking horns for the third time this season after their first meeting in the league in September at FNB Stadium where Amakhosi won 3-0. The second meeting between the sides was a Nedbank Cup round of 32 match at Harry Gwala Stadium, where Amakhosi won 2-0 in February.
Amakhosi will be aiming to make it a treble of wins over the Team of Choice on Saturday and move up the DStv log table where they currently sit in fourth position, with 34 points after 22 matches. Maritzburg, who are fighting for their lives, are second from bottom, with 21 points after 22 encounters.
Coach Arthur Zwane will be happy to welcome Christian Saile Basomboli back in the fold after serving a one match suspension but will be sad to lose Siyabonga Ngezana, who received his fourth booking on Sunday against Casric Stars.
Tickets for the tough DStv Premiership match between the Glamour Boys and the Team of Choice are on sale through Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers, at R80 per ticket. Kick-off is at 20:00 on Saturday, 18 March at Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
