After knocking Royal AM out of the Nedbank Cup to advance to the semi-finals, Kaizer Chiefs will switch their focus back to the DStv Premiership this weekend. The Glamour Boys will travel to Polokwane where they will play another Nedbank semi-finalist, Sekhukhune United, on Sunday.
The two teams will meet for the second time in the league this season, the first coming on 7 January at FNB Stadium. Sekhukhune won that match and Chiefs will want to retaliate by claiming all three points in Polokwane this coming weekend.
Chiefs are unbeaten in six matches and want to maintain the current run of form with a victory that will help them keep up in the race for second position on the log.
Coach Arthur Zwane will be forced to make at least two changes to his team, as regular left-back S’fiso Hlanti and midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe are suspended for the match. The duo picked up their fourth yellow cards in the match against Royal AM.
On the log, Chiefs are still in position four, with 41 points from 25 matches. The hosts are 7th on the standings after collecting 32 points in their 25 games played.
Tickets for the DStv Premiership match between the Glamour Boys and Babina-Noko are on sale at Computicket, including Shoprite and Checkers at R40 per ticket. Kick-off for the match is 15:00 on Sunday at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
