The Soweto Derby is the pinnacle of South African soccer. The stage is set. All roads lead to the iconic FNB Stadium, where Orlando Pirates host Kaizer Chiefs in what promises to be a titanic battle on Saturday, 30 January (kick-off is at 15:30).



The only stand tickets left for sale are Level 2: R100. Tickets are sold at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide.



The fans are encouraged to buy their parking tickets to enjoy a seamless entry to the stadium precinct. The different categories for parking are: General (at R30), Exclusive Expo Centre parking (at R80), Premium parking (at R130), Mini bus parking (at R150) and Bus parking (at R300).



Physically challenged patrons parking tickets will only be sold at R50 directly from the FNB Stadium Ticket office, at Gate C (prior to event day). Patrons can reserve their tickets telephonically by contacting the stadium ticketing office: +27 11 247 5300.



There will be no vehicle allowed past the road closures without the relevant parking tickets. There are various transportation alternatives with Metrorail:



PRETORIA (to & from) JOHANNESBURG: Train number 0620/0635 will depart from Pretoria Station at 11:45, Centurion – 11:59, Oakmoor – 12:23, Kaalfontein – 12:28, Kempton Park – 12:40, Isando – 12:46, Elandsfontein 12:50, Germiston – 13:02, George Goch - 13:24, Jeppe - 13:24, Johannesburg – 13:32. Departure after match from Johannesburg is from 19:17 and arriving back in Pretoria at 21:04.



JOHANNESBURG (to & from) NASREC: Train number 2256/2243 will depart from Johannesburg Station at 13:10, Nasrec – 14:40, Johannesburg – 13:40, arriving in Nasrec at 15:10. Departure after match from Nasrec is from 18:00 and arriving back in Johannesburg at 18:30.



SPRINGS (to & from) JOHANNESBURG: Train 0026/0041, departing from Springs – 12:30, Brakpan – 12:44, Benoni – 12:55, Dunswart – 12:58, Germiston – 13:19, arriving in Johannesburg at 13:50. Departure after match from Johannesburg at 18:15 arriving at Springs – 19:31.



VEREENIGING: Train 9015/9028 departing from Vereeniging at 11:40, Residensia – 12:08, Stretford – 12:15, Lenz – 12:38, Midway – 12:43, Kliptown – 12:52, Nancefield – 12:57, Orlando – 13:00, New Canada – 13:07, Langlaagte – 13:19, Mayfair - 13:25, Braamfontein – 13:28, arriving in Johannesburg at 13:33. Departure after match from Johannesburg at 19:20, arriving in Vereeniging at 21:05.



Cost: R30 for a return ticket across all stations. Park and rail ticket includes safe and secure parking at the train stations.



Top 6 Taxis, Departing at 10:00 from & returning to: CBD, MTN Taxi Rank, Maponya Mall, Moroka Police Station, Kliptown Post Office, Dobsonvile Police Station, Meadowlands Police Station, Phefani Taxi Rank, Cross Road Taxi Rank, Dube Station Taxi Rank.



Pick-up and drop off points will be at the stadium transport hub, Cost: R 10 to Stadium, R12 from Stadium.



KTK Shuttles, A mini-bus shuttle service will be running from the following points: Parktown Station to Nasrec – R50 Return – Departure at 12:08, 12:38, 13:08, 13:38, 14:08 and 14:38



Rea Veya, Ellis Park/ Library Gardens/ Thokoza Park and C1 Dobsonville first bus leaving at 12:00 at five minute intervals. After the match the first bus leaves at 17:00 at two minute intervals.
