The Chiefs number twelve who recently over took Neil Tovey as the second most capped Kaizer Chiefs player of all time, was unable to train on Wednesday as he was still in pain. He Was taken to hospital for X-Rays so as to give the Chiefs medical staff a clearer indication of the extent of the injury, commenting on Mooki’s injury Chiefs physiotherapist David Milner explained. “We waiting for the results of his X-Ray, from what I do know is that he has said that he is experiencing quite a bit of pain”.
Chiefs will be able to make a full diagnosis of Thabo’s injury later on Thursday once the results of the X-Rays have been passed over to Chiefs team doctor Phil Maepa. Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp is hopeful that Mooki could be available for Saturday’s game, the Chiefs coach added “I will wait for word from the Doctor before making a final decision on Thabo, I am optimistic that it is nothing too serious and that he will be available for selection for Saturday’s game”.
In other injury news defender Derrick Spencer who under went an operation in November, as he had been suffering with a groin problem has begun light training and is expected to resume full training with the rest of the team some time next week.
