The right-back joined Amakhosi from Bloemfontein Celtic for the 2012/2013 season. He has since started in 26 league matches, while coming on in a further five. In total, Moleko has played in 55 official games for the Glamour Boys.
With Ramahlwe Mphahlele out injured, the 28-year-old grabbed the chance to start against Cape Town City nearly two weeks ago with both hands.
“I always make sure that I am ready to play whenever being asked to do so,” Moleko says, “by working hard at training and also attending extra gym sessions.”
The right-back continued to start in the next two league matches against Bidvest Wits and Maritzburg United. He provided a well-weighted ball from the right for Siphiwe Tshabalala to score the opening goal against the Clever Boys.
Chiefs have collected seven points in the three games Moleko has started. The club has moved up to fourth position in the league standings, having collected eight points from five games.
About his relationship with Mphahlele, he comments: “We always talk with each other. I support Rama when he starts, while he’s very supportive when I start. We often even WhatsApp each other with advice.”
Moleko will probably continue to be in the starting XI of the Glamour Boys for Saturday’s clash against Golden Arrows. He says: “We have to be focussed and keep doing what we have done in the last few results. If we do that, we will get the result we are looking for.”
