Kaizer Chiefs defender Reeve Frosler, who joined the club at the end of the January transfer window in 2019, has extended his Amakhosi stay and will remain with the club until the end of June 2025 after putting pen to paper on a new deal with the club in the past few days.

Commenting on his new deal, Frosler – who joined Chiefs during the mid- point of the 2018-19 season – said “it’s almost exactly three years since I joined the club. It’s been a good three years. I am happy to have renewed my contract and to continue to be part of this big institution.”

The dynamic defender who made his debut for Chiefs in April 2019 in a league game against Black Leopards, is now focused on getting down to business with his contract issues out of the way.

“Things will start getting better and we are hoping to start winning trophies. We’ve got TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup, and we have the potential to go all the way. We will take it one game at a time and try and do our best,” said Frosler.

Frosler is looking to add to the 73 appearances he has made for Amakhosi since joining the club three years ago and he has made the most of the current hiatus during the season break. He believes the break, coupled with Chiefs camp in Stellenbosch, will have benefitted the team.

“I enjoyed the mid- season break and being away from Johannesburg.  A lot of guys needed a break. It was a nice break for us and we have come back fresh with a good mindset to kickstart the second half of the season. Hopefully, we continue from where we left off and continue to do well for the rest of the season,” Frosler told www.kaizerchiefs.com.

The 24-year-old defender has also been keeping an eye on the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.

While the team he was backing has departed the competition, he has now tipped another team to take the tile. “My team Morocco is no more involved,” adding that he believes the title will go to a familiar name,

“I think Egypt will go all the way.”
