The first Monday of every month means Amakhosi supporters are in for a new and exciting episode of their favourite television show, which is the KCTV show. The September episode of the show will first air this evening at 20:00 on DStv Channel 202.
As is the case on a monthly basis, the team has produced some riveting content that focuses on the events that took place over the last month. After taking a break last year due to the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak last year, Amakhosi will get to see some behind-the-scenes work that went into putting together the 2021 edition of the Carling Black Label Cup. We speak to the coaches, players, including the consumer coach, who had an enviable experience of spending time with the team and getting a chance to be heard by the technical team and the players.
Another highlight will be the presentation that was done by management to the players (old and new) and the technical team. The purpose of the presentation is to welcome and induct new people and get them to understand what Kaizer Chiefs is all about before they get into the business of football in the new season.
One of the supporters’ highlights of every season is the launch of the new jersey. We bring Amakhosi some great content taken during the shoot with the players who saw the jersey for the first time as they modelled for the cameras ahead of the jersey launch and wearing it on the pitch. We also speak to some of the new signings about wearing the Kaizer Chiefs for the first time as professional players and joining the Phefeni Glamour Boys.
Community development and upliftment are very key to Kaizer Chiefs and we revisited the project that saw players pack food packs for the needy in June. The project was part of Vodacom’s Score For Food campaign that saw players contribute by scoring goals and Vodacom contributing R5000 for every goal scored. The non-perishable food was delivered to two schools in Soweto in partnership with the Vodacom and the Kaizer Motaung JR Foundation. We showcase our visit to Emzimbuvu Higher Primary in Meadowlands and Emshukantambo Secondary School in Pimville with some of the players who shared their message of hope with the learners.
The episode promises to be entertaining and educational. It can be enjoyed on South Africa’s leading sport & lifestyle show on PSL Channel on SuperSport 2, DStv channel 202 this evening at 20:00. There will be repeats during the course of the month.
