The Glamour Boys are currently lying on 6th position with 25 points while SuperSport United are leading with 33 points. If Chiefs win they could go to second behind SuperSport.
“This is a very important game for us. This game presents us with an opportunity to close the gap between us and SuperSport United,” Tau told the media on Tuesday morning at the Club’s Media Open Day.
“We are very focused ahead of this game. We know that if we beat SuperSport then we will be in a good position to challenge for the league honours this season. It has remained our objective to win the league and nothing is going to deter us from that goal,” warned Tau.
Jimmy said that he and his teammates have moved on from the controversy surrounding the result against Santos at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Santos appeared to have leveled matters at the 85th minute but referee; Harry Lekitlane ruled the goal out.
“We are not in control of the decisions that the referees take during the game. Our job as players is to ensure that we do our business on the field of play and we are happy that we won away to Santos last Friday. We are looking at doing the same when we host SuperSport United at Loftus,” concluded Jimmy Tau.
