The Amakhosi youngster beat Randburg FC 6-0 last weekend, thanks to two goals each from Sizwe Twala and Lebogang Matakanya, while Sabelo Radebe and Kamohelo Hoala netted once.
“It was a good performance,” reflects Chiefs’ Under-19s coach Sundra Govinder on the win against Randburg in an SAB Johannesburg Regional League match. “The score wasn’t even a true reflection, we should have scored a lot more goals.
“We were tactically superior. They played very physical, but we competed well – it helps us to prepare and be ready for these kinds of games.”
Amakhosi’s Under-19s beat Meadowlands FC 2-0 last weekend in an SAB Johannesburg Regional League match. The goals were scored by Sizwe Twala and Lebohang Lesako.
Thanks to the win, the Under-19s are now in third position on the log with 35 points from 17 games.
“Navada are at the bottom of the log,” concludes Govinder about Saturday’s encounter. “A game like this will test the mentality and character of our team, because every game must be treated the same. That’s what we teach our boys.”
