The Kaizer Chiefs skipper, who’s in epic form, sustained a neck muscle spasm after colliding with Arrows’ Knox Mutizwa.
“Khune fell heavily on his head,” comments Dr Hashendra Ramjee about the stoppage time incident. “He had a sore neck and a headache from the clash. We took him to hospital where he was examined. Accordingly, he was cleared of danger.”
Khune adds to a long injury list currently affecting the Amakhosi camp.
“Itu will undergo a series of checks and rehabilitation,” adds Dr Ramjee. “However, he should be ready for the next match.”
Chiefs will play at home-away-from-home Baroka FC at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 30 September 2017. The much anticipated clash will be kick-off at 18:00.
