The 2017 Carling Black Label Cup featuring Kaizer Chiefs and their arch-rivals Orlando Pirates is a sold out affair. So if you do not have a ticket in your hand, please avoid getting anywhere near the FNB Stadium precinct on Saturday, 29 July 2017.
Also, please arrive at the stadium as early as possible. The gate will open at 11:00 and there will be entertainment leading to the kick-off at 15:00. General public (non-spectators) should avoid the FNB Stadium precinct from 10:00 to 19:00. Your co-operation is appreciated.
Logistics are a priority and arrangements have been made to ensure a seamless entry into the stadium precincts for early birds.
Rea Vaya will be operating a service to transport fans from its stations along the Rea Vaya phase 1A and phase 1B route to the FNB Stadium. The frequency of the T1 service will be stepped up from the normal service to five minutes, from Thokoza Park (Soweto bound fans), Ellis Park (CBD bound fans). T3 from Library Gardens East will be running normal service at a frequency of 15 minutes. Fans will be dropped off and picked up at the Soccer City Rea Vaya Station after the match.
There will be shuttle services from Nasrec to Johannesburg with departure and arrival times from respectively 18:00 and 19:25.
There will be strict traffic-control measures by JMPD and Gauteng. Traffic will be in operation immediately around the Stadium from 11:30.
The dedicated vehicular routings to the Stadium VIP parking, hospitality & public parking areas for this event are:
General public must avoid N17 approach at all costs. This route will be heavily policed and will not be allowed to use this route. There will be a number of soft road closures at numerous intersections:
