Teenage Hadebe is a 21-year-old tall defender, who is very strong in the air. He’s not only great to head the ball away, the Zimbabwean is able to score goals as well, usually heading the ball past the opponent’s goalkeeper from set-pieces or corner kicks. The left-footer is confident on the ball. He’s a mean tackler and strikers will struggle to get past him. The Bulawayo-born centre-back is positionally very strong and is great in supplying long range balls to the forwards. Hadebe joins Kaizer Chiefs from Zimbabwe’s side Chicken Inn.
Bhongolethu Jayiya joins Kaizer Chiefs from Cape Town City. He’s born in Dlamini, Soweto. ‘Bhongo’ is a speedy midfielder with a highly educated left-foot. He’s confident with his right as well. He has great composure on the ball. He has an eye for the goal, usually arriving late and unexpectedly in the box to slot the ball into the back of the net. Jayiya can play on the wing, as an attacking midfielder or even as a striker. The 27-year-old will win balls in the midfield as well, because he’s a hard worker.
24-year-old Philani Zulu is a versatile player, who can be positioned at left-back, left wing and central midfield. The left-footer is not only quick, but has great endurance. The Pietermaritzburg-born Zulu is physically strong and is good in the air. He’s a fantastic crosser of the ball and a fine tackler, who is not easy to get past. Zulu joins Kaizer Chiefs from Maritzburg United.
Dumsani Zuma is lightning quick and has good dribbling skills. The 22-year-old right-footer is an excellent crosser of the ball, often delivering decisive balls to his teammates in the box to finish. Zuma can play on either wing. The Pietermaritzburg-born player is also able to create goalscoring chances for the strikers with well-measured through-balls. Zuma joins the Glamour Boys from Bloemfontein Celtic. He recently played for Bafana Bafana in the Chan qualifier against Botswana.
