Pule Mmodi’s exceptional talent has been recognised by the Premier Soccer League, who deemed him worthy of winning the Goal-of-the-Month award for August 2023.

The skillful forward’s majestic strike against Stellenbosch at the Athlone stadium on 30 August was a goal of such quality that it comfortably beat all others scored during the month.

With the DStv Premiership encounter still goalless in the 51^st minute, Pule gained possession of the ball just inside the Stellies half and drove forward purposefully, playing a neat one-two with Mdu Mdantsane before lashing an unstoppable drive past Sage Stephens in the Stellenbosch goal from all of 25 yards out. It was the opening goal in what ended as a valuable 2-0 victory for the Glamour Boys.
