The 22-year-old made his first start against Platinum Stars in December, helping Chiefs to a 1-0 win. The attacking midfielder has been in fine form early this year, scoring a beauty in Amakhosi’s 2-1 win over Polokwane City two weeks ago.
The fit again Kgotso Moleko comes in for Joseph Molangoane, who was red-carded in last week’s game against Baroka FC and is therefore suspended for two matches.
Siyabonga Ngezana, meanwhile, replaces Erick Mathoho in the starting XI compared to the Baroka game. The young defender made his debut in the first round fixture against Sundowns in October.
It turned out to be a fantastic first game for Ngezana in the Gold and Black, netting a goal in the 2-1 victory and being handed over the Absa Premiership Man of the Match for that match played at Pretoria’s Loftus Versfeld.
Leonardo Castro will start on the bench, but he will probably feature at some stage during the game. The Colombian’s fellow striker Ryan Moon continues to be the main man up-front, deservedly so as he netted twice in the last two matches.
The much anticipated clash between Chiefs and Sundowns will kick-off at 20:15.
The referee is Daniel Bennett.
