According to the adopted format, Kaizer Chiefs who finished 2nd on the 2019/20 season log, will meet Maritzburg United who finished in a decent 7th position.
Amakhosi have the advantage of hosting the match by virtue of finishing higher than the Team of Choice on the log. The iconic FNB Stadium will host the knockout fixture on Sunday, 18 October, kicking off at 15:00.
All the matches will play under Covid-19 regulations with no spectators allowed to attend the match.
Records show Amakhosi have remarkably won the MTN8 Cup on four occasions in the PSL era - which is more than any other team. They lifted the top 8 competition trophy in 2001/2, 2006/7, 2008/9 and 2014/15.
The match will be televised live on DStv’s PSL Channel 202 and SABC 1. Blow by blow commentary will be available via Kaizer Chiefs’ twitter @KaizerChiefs.
