Following last week’s win over Polokwane City, Kaizer Chiefs are back at FNB Stadium this evening to face Richards Bay FC in their third Betway Premiership match of the season in their hunt for their first hattrick of victories at the start of the season since 2014/15.
Amakhosi have picked up six points in their first two encounters and will want to add another three points when they take on Natal Rich Boys this evening.
The visitors, on the other hand, have lost their first three matches of the season – one MTN8 and two Betway Premiership encounters - and will want to make amends when they take on the Glamour Boys in their third league of the match of the campaign.
Assistant coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze have decided to make only one change to the team that started the last game, with last week’s goal scorer, Siphesihle Ndlovu making his first start in place of Gaston Sirino.
It will be a 4-4-2 formation for this evening’s encounter.
After two clean sheets in the first two matches, Brandon Petersen starts in goal again.
In defence, Bradley Cross will be on the left; Aden McCarthy, who was selected as man of the match twice in a row, will play with Inacio Miguel in the centre of defence, and Thabiso Monyane will be on the right.
Sibongiseni Mthethwa is the holding midfielder.
Thabo Cele and Ndlovu will work together in front of Mthethwa, with Mduduzi Shabalala just behind the attackers.
Amakhosi will have Glody Lilepo and Wandile Duba up front.
This evening’s referee is Masixole Bambiso. He will be assisted by Cledwin Baloyi and Kenny Mamegwa. The fourth official is Abraham Mashala.
Amakhosi’s third Betway Premiership match of the 2025/26 season against Richards Bay commences at 19:30 at FNB Stadium. The match will be live on SuperSport’s channel 202, with live commentary on various SABC radio stations. There will be live updates on the Club’s X (formerly known as Twitter) account, @kaizerchiefs.
