Kaizer Chiefs welcome Maritzburg United in an Absa Premiership at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 28 April 2018 (kick-off is at 15:00).
“Before the Chippa United match, we were much stronger defensively,” Amakhosi’s interim coach pointed out. “We have conceded easy goals in recent games and we have identified that as an element to polish.”
Maritzburg operate as a team, but they also have individuals that make them play. “Fortune Makaringe and Lebohang Maboe are the players to watch,” Mabedi commented about this afternoon’s opponents. “They have the ability to do something different. However, we also know our opponent’s weaknesses and we will make sure to explore that.”
Teenage Hadebe remains on the sideline with an ankle injury, while Hendrick Ekstein has a groin concern.
The interim coach feels optimistic about getting a result, “After all, we want to get our confidence back and only a win will get us back on track.”
Tickets for this Saturday afternoon’s encounter between Amakhosi and the Team of Choice are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide. Cost per ticket is R40.
