The first jersey number…
Tefu Mashamaite: It was jersey no. 5 at a small team in Bochum, Dipitsi FC. I did not have too much choice but also I was playing as a defender.
First boots…
Tefu Mashamaite: Puma Winger back in 1999. It only lasted for two weeks. It was a cheapest boot you would find.
The first pay check…
Tefu Mashamaite: It was R4000 after signing an apprentice contract in 2005. I can’t remember much but I bought some sneakers.
The first kiss…
Tefu Mashamaite: It was with the lady called Nelly back home. I was thirteen (laughing)
The first car…
Tefu Mashamaite: It is the one I am currently driving Toyota Verso. I bought it 2009.

If you would invite four people for dinner in your house who would it be?

If you were not a footballer what would you be doing?
Tefu Mashamaite: I have a degree in Politics so I would probably be working in the Department of the International Relations. That’s where some of my classmates are working.
If you would be given an opportunity to sign two players for Chiefs who would you go for?
Tefu Mashamaite: I would go for Knowledge Musona at Hoffenheim. I would definitely resign him and I would also sign Gavhino from Arsenal & Ivory Coast.

Tefu Mashamaite: Talid Kweli from the States. I love Hip Hop. I also like different types of Hip Hop – The conscious Hip Hop. It is about social commentary.
Who is the best dresser at Chiefs?
Tefu Mashamaite: I think Jimmy Tau, Shabba (Siphiwe Tshabalala) and Spanner (Lawrence Molekwane)

Where is your favourite hangout?
Tefu Mashamaite: I do not hang out a lot, I prefer at home with my family.

Tefu Mashamaite: This was is a bit demanding; but let’s see…I am passionate politics, I love basketball and I can cook well!
