After kicking off their season in the Gauteng Development League (GDL) last weekend against Siluma 7, Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy teams will be in action again when they visit against Rosina Sedibane at Rosina Sedibane Sport Grounds in Laudium.
Chiefs started the season with a bang by scoring an avalanche of goals to make it four wins out of four games against Siluma 7 at the Kaizer Chiefs Village. The under-13 team won 4-1, the under-15s beat Siluma 5-1, the under-17s score was 7-0 to Chiefs, and the under-19s sealed the deal with a 9-1 drubbing of Siluma.
This Saturday, four Chiefs and Rosina teams will play four games in Laudium. The under-13 game will commence at 9am, followed by the under-15s at 10:30, the under-17s at midday, and the under-19 teams will wrap up the day at 13:30.
Meanwhile, the Reserve team, which was supposed to face Richards Bay Reserves this weekend in the DDC, will not be in action. The match has been postponed to a later date because Richards Bay are dealing with the memorial service and funeral of Siphamandla Mtolo
Amakhosi Reserves, who are in fine form at the moment, beat Chippa United Reserves 3-2 last weekend at Wolfson Stadium in KwaZakhele out in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.
The game saw the Chiefs Reserves jump from 7th position 4th on the DDC log with 32 points after 19 matches, one games less than their rivals.
The new date and time of the DDC match will communicated as soon as the league confirms it.
