The Italian arrived in Cape Town not having won a league game since joining Amakhosi. After the win, however, the Chiefs coach urged his charges to remain humble and grounded.
“The best of Kaizer Chiefs is still to come,” vowed Solinas, explaining that “we used the FIFA international break to fix a lot of areas. The boys worked hard to prepare for this match.”
The Glamour Boys have climbed up the log ladder thanks to the win, although the exact position will depend on the outcome of the games played on Sunday. But seven points from six games have taken Chiefs, at this stage, to fifth position on the Absa Premiership log.
