Ellis Park Stadium will host the game which is not recognized as a full international, and players appearing in the game will not be credited with a national team appearance.

Parreira who lead the Brazilian team to FIFA World Cup glory in 1994, is looking to use what will effectively be his first game in charge of Bafana Bafana to start the ball rolling in building a strong Bafana Bafana that he hopes will be competitive at the next Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana and well beyond the 2010 FIFA World Cup to be staged in South Africa.

The newly appointed national team coach announced his new team at a press conference held in Newtown in the Johannesburg CBD, Thursday at noon time and included Amakhosi players Rowen Fernandez and Siyabonga Nkosi as well as Jimmy Tau who makes a return to the national team set up after a years absence.

Tau, who last played for the national team at the 2006 MTN CAF Africa Cup of Nations which was played in January and February of last year and staged in Egypt, is elated at the fact that Parreira has him in his plans.

“I am excited at the opportunity of being able to play under Coach Carlos Alberto Parreira, he is a world class coach and the fact that he has called me up to the team is testament to the fact that I have been working hard over the past few weeks. I hope to be given a chance to play against the Swazi’s and I hope that GOD will give the strength to give my best for the national team” said Tau.

Another of the Chiefs players joining Tau at the Bafana Bafana camp which starts on Monday and concludes after Tuesday evenings game, goalkeeper Rowen Fernandez is looking to use the game to further strengthen his claims for the national teams number spot.

Fernandez said of his call up for the match “This game presents me with the chance to demonstrate to the coach that I am willing to add value to the national team, my aim should I play will be to keep a clean sheet and generally put up a good performance”.
