Kaizer Chiefs Reserves continued with their unbeaten run of five matches on the trot when they were held to a 1-all draw by Maritzburg United Reserves on Saturday.
“We played our normal game,” reflected the Kaizer Chiefs Reserves coach. “I thought we dominated them on all fronts. They scored via a corner kick just before half-time which is a matter of lapse in concentration on our side. At this level it is continuous learning for the boys. We will take this point and move on to work in progress.”
Chiefs Reserves took the lead through Keletso Sifama in the 19th minute of the game, “It was a good goal resulting from good movements and passing,” said Zwane. “I am satisfied with the way we played but a win would have been a reward for the good display of football.”
Maritzburg United equalised in the 40th minute through Bhengu. Zwane effected maximum substitutions bringing on Kamohelo Hoala, Tshepo Mohlala and Rahim Milazi for Njabulo Blome, Keletso Sifama and Khumbulani Ncube.
Chiefs gain an away point and move to 7th position with 14 points after 9 matches played in the MDC log standings.
