Kaizer Chiefs development teams were merciless on Saturday in the Gauteng Development League fixtures when they obliterated their Black Aces counterparts with an avalanche of goals in three games played away from home at the Greek Sport Club in Ekurhuleni.
The first team to be put to the sword was Aces’ under-17 team that lost 0-1 to Amakhosi on Thursday.
Three other divisions upped the ante when they played their games on Saturday with the under-13s putting 4 goals past Aces and the hosts responding with a single goal. The under-15 team also scored 4 goals and Aces failed to score. The under-19 team wrapped it up nicely when they won with a dominant score of 5-1.
With the group stages of the GDL completed, the top 4 teams will advance to the GDL semi-finals scheduled for this coming weekend. The semi-finalist will be announced in due course.
Meanwhile, it was not a great day in the office for the Chiefs reserve side when they visited Stellenbosch for the DDC fixture on Saturday at the Idas Valley Sports Ground in Stellenbosch. The reserve side lost their encounter by 1-4 against the Stellies.
The Amakhosi junior side will return to the Western Cape this coming weekend to try and make amends when they visit Cape Town City
