Itumeleng Khune, Daniel Cardoso and Ramahlwe Mphahlele will start in South Africa’s match against Zambia at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium this afternoon (kick-off is at 17:00, South African time).

The two sides meet each other in the final of the Four Nations Tournament. South Africa beat Angola on penalties in the semi-final with Ryan Moon coming on in the 70th minute, while Zambia went past Zimbabwe. The Amakhosi striker will start on the bench against Zambia.

It will be Khune’s 87th cap for Bafana Bafana.

Cardoso will partner South Africa’s captain, Thulani Hlatswayo, in the centre of defence, while Mphahlele will play at right-back.

Bafana’s starting XI: Itumeleng Khune, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Daniel Cardoso, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Innocent Maela, Teboho Mokoena, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Keegan Dolly, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Percy Tau.

Substitutes: Brendan Peterson, Reeve Frosler, Sifiso Hlanti, Motjeka Madisha, Dean Furman, Aubrey Modiba, Themba Zwane, Phakamani Mahlambi, Lebogang Mothiba, Thembinkosi Lorch, Ryan Moon.

Not available: Bongani Zungu, Darren Keet.
