Kaizer Chiefs U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 teams hosted their counterparts from Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday morning at the Kaizer Chiefs village in Naturena in the south of Johannesburg. Results did not go according to plan for the young Chiefs teams at home.

The Amakhosi U-13s went down to Sundowns 2-0 conceding a goal in each half as they lost after winning their game in midweek against Highlands Park 3-1. The Amakhosi U-15 team were defeated 5-0 in their game against the Sundowns U-15 team. They also had midfielder Serero Mamatela stretched off with a broken forearm he fell awkwardly going for the ball and was rushed to hospital for further treatment.

Chiefs U-17 team took the lead early on in their game against Sundowns but soon found themselves trailing 2-1. It took a good team move to see them find themselves level in the second half when Rivaldo Mabeba ghosted in between two defenders to deftly head home a cross from the right as the game ended 2-2.

The Chiefs U-19 team who were on a two-game winning streak saw that come to an end with a 4-1 loss against Sundowns.

The Chiefs youngsters will now face Pirates on Saturday in Randburg.
