Kaizer Chiefs Reserves mirrored the senior team when they also came back from falling a goal down to beat Sekhukhune United Reserves 2-1 in Round 3 of the 2024/25 DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) at FNB stadium on Saturday.
The impressive victory takes Amakhosi to the top of league table and they are now the only team in the competition with a 100% record of three wins out of three.
Next Sunday, Chiefs face an away tie against undefeated SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe stadium (kick-off at noon), who lie in eighth place with three points, having drawn all of their games so far.
In the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL), Kaizer Chiefs academy teams hosted RESA at the Village on Saturday. The U15s drew 1-1, while the U17s were bested by four goals to one. The U19s restored some pride with a 3-2 win. On Sunday, The U13s comprehensively dominated their RESA counterparts at the U13 GDL Festival, running out 4-0 winners.
The next round of the GDL takes place at Panorama Sports Ground on Sunday, where the U13s, U15s, U17s and U19s will play Panorama FC.
