Kaizer Chiefs reserves are finishing the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) season strongly after a resounding 4-1 win over Sekhukhune United on Saturday kept them in 4th spot in the national U-23 league standings.
A brace from Thulani Mabaso, plus further goals through Donay Jansen and Manqoba Ozoemena swept Amakhosi to victory in their penultimate match of the campaign.
They face a tricky task in their final fixture, away to Cape Town City, who trail them by three points (although with a far inferior goal difference). However, with 5th placed SuperSport United sitting level on 51 points going into the last round, Amakhosi will need to win to ensure a 4th place finish.
In the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL), The Amakhosi junior teams won three out of their four matches against Remember Elite Sports Academy (RESA) on Saturday. The U-13s won 1-0, the U-15s won 4-2, the U-17s unfortunately lost 2-1, and the U-19s ended the day on a victorious note, with a 3-2 triumph.
This coming Saturday, they entertain Panorama at the Village, commencing at 9:00am.
