Domza, how important was the win against Bidvest Wits following the two consecutive defeats in the league against Santos and Vasco Da Gama?
Dominic Isaacs: (Cutting in) It was very important so that we can keep in touch with log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. It was important for us to keep our title hopes alive and that had to start with a win against Wits.
What was your impression on your overall performance on the night?
Dominic Isaacs: I go to each game with a mentality not to concede and also do well for the team. It is important for me to deliver my level best in every game and it was not different on Saturday night.
The defence has been superb this season, what do you attribute this to?
Dominic Isaacs: There is no secret but I think as the team we have worked harder this season on the defensive aspect of our game. We defend as a unit. I would also put this down to competition in the team. There is a lot of competition for places and this means that when one of us is given an opportunity to play he has to deliver. This has worked well for team.
On Wednesday, you travel to Witbank to face Mpumalanga Black Aces…
Dominic Isaacs: They are coming back from a heavy defeat against AmaZulu but that game counts for nothing. They will want to bounce back as they are playing at home and they also want to close the year on a high. We were back at training this Monday in preparation for the game, and like it was against Bidvest Wits, it is important for us to come back to Naturena with a positive result.
