Amakhosi were drawn in Group A along with South Korean side Seongnam Ilhwa, Bayer Leverkusen from Germany and French side Olympic Lyonnais.
Amakhosi managing director Kaizer Motaung said he was positive the Glamour Boys would give a good account of themselves. "One cannot really complain about the draw," said Motaung.
"It is by no means an easy draw. In fact both groups are tough and for us the fact that we have been drawn against a South Korean team will generate a lot of interest and excitement among the locals."
The other group will see Roma come up against Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen - who are currently third from the bottom in the Bundesliga, LA Galaxy (US) and Sao Paolo (Brazil).
The tournament will be played on a round-robin basis and the group winners will then battle it out in the final, with the winners walking away us$2-million richer.
The draw was attended by over 300 delegates including world football legend Pele, who is also the Peace Cup tournament advisor. A special moment for the South African delegation must have been during the rendition of the national anthem Nkosi sikelel' iAfrika by a local kids choir.
