Friends and families gathered here to today…
It is the second year that we are missing those who passed away on this day.
It is the second time that we join together at this united memorial tapestry to honour and pay respect to those loved ones lost.
It is through this memorial tapestry in African beadwork that we can forever remember the tragedy, and always learn from it.
It is through this tapestry that we can forever remember the tears of those left behind, for those who have gone.
And it is through this tapestry that we can respect and honour the 43 victims in purity and love, tranquility and calmness.
Through this tapestry Ellis Park Stadium will never allow those whom we mourn on this day, to be forgotten.
