Kaizer Chiefs received a blow ahead of the Telkom Last 16 tie against Platinum Stars on Sunday when rightback, Lawrence ‘Spanner’ Molekwane was ruled out for six weeks due to injury. Team Physio, Dave Milner revealed to kaizerchiefs.com.

Molekwane made his first official start last Sunday as Chiefs bounced back to winning ways against Black Leopards at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Dave Milner said speaking to kaizerchiefs.com; “Molekwane did an x-ray on Thursday on the foot he got stepped in the morning during training. He has a fracture in his 5th bone and will be out for about 6 weeks.
