Tickets for Africa’s biggest derby, Kaizer Chiefs vs. Orlando Pirates to be hosted at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 26 February 2011 are selling fast.



Corporate Communications Manager, Thebe Mohatle revealed to kaizerchiefs.com on Friday afternoon.



“The demand for the tickets for the upcoming Soweto derby has been unbelievable,” said Mohatle.



“People who want to witness the derby next weekend should buy tickets immediately as almost 40, 000 tickets have already been sold for the game,”



“The game has drawn a lot of interest from the supporters as both teams are challenging strongly for the Absa Premiership. It is thus important for us to paint the FNB Stadium gold as we did when we hosted Mamelodi Sundowns early this year,”



Mohatle further revealed that tickets for disabled sell for R40 (fans with disability who wish to attend the game will have to call Computicket Call Centre on 083 915 8000 for game and parking tickets. The parking for disabled will be allocated at PS-8 Parking area at a cost of R10 per vehicle).



Tickets for pre-booked seating (Level 2) sell for R150, Lower level R60, and Upper Level R40.

Tickets for juveniles are selling for R10 and Parking is also available at Computicket for R10. This parking is close to the stadium.

Kaizer Chiefs fans will be located in the North & West Stand. Please inform Computicket that you support Kaizer Chiefs and would want to sit on the North or West stand.

Orlando Pirates will be located on the South and Eastern Stands.

Rail Transport



PRASA has revealed that they will be providing rail services through Metrorail for the Soweto Derby. The service will be as follows:


- R6. 00 per adult return ticket from Soweto to FNB Stadium.


- R10. 00 per adult return ticket from the rest of the Gauteng Network to FNB Stadium.


- Children under the age of 12 years, travel for free


- Free Parking at stations for all train ticket bearers at park and rail stations.


- Tickets will be available at the major Metrorail Tickets outlets.
