The process that started on the 9th of January for the reopening of the South African schools for the First Term of the 2013 Academic Calendar is getting to the final stages this week.

By midweek all the school learners from all the Provinces, Private and Public schools will be expected in class. Kaizer Chiefs Management, Staff, the Players and the Amakhosi Faithful are united in one voice in conveying a message of good wishes on the resuming of schools for 2013 Academic Calendar.

The Club believes that in order for the nation to prosper South Africa needs educated Citizens. The early child development and school level is the springboard and where it all begins for a better life for all. The beginning of the academic year must bring joy to the parents, the learners and the Nation at large.

The Club hopes that the school beginners will be integrated in their learning process smoothly as they are the future of the world.

We would like to encourage the authorities and communities alike to ensure that schools offer a safe and an enabling environment for learning and teaching to take place.

We trust that the spirit of ‘Love and Peace’ will prevail within the school grounds and any dubious activity will be exposed and dealt with accordingly by the authorities. As much as we encourage children to go to school equally we convey our message of support to the teachers, school principals and the governing bodies to carry out their duties with diligence, dedication and commitment.

Education is the key to socioeconomic growth of South Africa. In wishing schools a good academic year we would like to remind the learners that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

At the end of the day schooling should not only be about career development; it is also about the holistic transformation of humankind for the better. We trust that the school reopening will not only result in a productive and competitive South Africa but will also contribute to a generation of morals, discipline, responsibility and cohesion in our communities.

Best wishes for 2013 Academic Year.

Amakhosi for Life!
