“We must stop the violence against the foreigners in South Africa,” reacts Kaizer Chiefs’ Katlego Mphela.

The striker stresses that Amakhosi have various foreigners in the squad, like Willard Katsande, Ivan Bukenya, Matthew Rusike and Ovidy Karuru.

“I don’t see them as foreigners,” Mphela explains. “They are my friends.”

On Xenophobia and the attacks, the 30-year-old adds: “We must stick together as Africans. It’s time to stop fighting our own brothers and sisters.”
