Chiefs who have been attending this exposition since 1998 will for the third successive year be exhibiting and displaying the Kaizer Chiefs brand to soccer role players from around the world. The Kaizer Chiefs team comprising of Chairman Kaizer Motaung, Financial Manager Jason Raine and members of the clubs marketing department Jessica and Hawa Motaung jetted out on Thursday evening for the oil rich Emirate.
Delegates and exhibitors to soccerex will be the guests of the prince of the Emirate of Dubai Shaik Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum when the United Arab Emirates take on Brazil in a friendly match on Saturday night. FIFA President Sepp Blatter, as well as a host of other famous soccer personalities, will also attend the game and the exhibition, which runs from the 13th – 15th of November.
Representatives from Orlando Pirates will join the Chiefs delegation in Dubai not for the first time. There will also be delegation from Mamelodi Sundowns who will be at the event for their inaugural visit. Kaizer Chiefs are the only South African club to be attending the show as exhibitors as well, South Africa 2010 and the South African Football Association will also be represented in Dubai.
The Chiefs team will return from Dubai on the 17th November with the exception of Marketing manager Jessica Motaung who will be travelling to the nearby country of Qatar to visit the Aspire Sports Academy. The academy, which lies outside the Qatari capital Doha, has received international acclaim for its world-class development programmes in a variety of sports - its immaculate facilities and the way it combines to aid young athletes cope in the tough competitive environment of international sports.
