Kaizer Chiefs in conjuction with main sponsors, Vodacom were on the road once more this time in Nelspruit ahead of the Absa Premiership encounter against Bidvest Wits at the impressive Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Monday (Kickoff for the game is at 18:00).



Marketing Director Jessica Motaung, Communications Manager Vina Maphosa, Supporters Relations Manager Cecil Motaung, Retail Manager Emmanuel Khumalo were joined by Thabo Phiri representing Vodacom were at the popular Emdumbeni Shisa Nyama, KwaNyamazane.



The fans spotting colourful Kaizer Chiefs regalia came in numbers to interact with the players Matthew Rusike, Brilliant Khuzwayo and Kgotso Moleko who had an opportunity to take pictures with the enthusiastic fans.



Motaung commented to kaizerchiefs.com; “The Road Show gives us an opportunity to interact with the fans in Mpumalanga while promoting our properties, Kaizer Chiefs Retail, ASC (Amakhosi Supporters Club) and Kaizer Chiefs Insurance Products. We were also able to address issues relating to counterfeit and the importance of fans buying authentic merchandise from our Mobile Retail Store at Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena.



“Through this exercise we were able to revive the excitement ahead of the game on Monday evening. We have no doubt that the fans are going to come in numbers as it has always been the case since the historic days of KwaNyamazane Stadium and now at the Mbombela Stadium,” added Motaung. The fans won prize giveaways courtesy of Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom.



Thabo Phiri was also elated with the outcome of the roadshow; “The Vodacom Gig Rig in connection with our partners Kaizer Chiefs is very popular with the supporters. The purpose from our side was to create an emotional connection with the fans through prize giveaways and player interaction.



The branches in Mpumalanga came out in numbers and the supporters were encouraged to register, renew membership; “We used the roadshow to also talk to the fans about the anti-hooliganism and the general conduct at the games. The fans also gave us feedback on some of our operations and they also demonstrated their support for the Head Coach, Stuart Baxter and the players,” said Cecil Motaung.
