Kaizer Chiefs Captain Itumeleng 'Spider' Khune is expected to lead Bafana Bafana on Wednesday, 14 August 2013 when they take on The Super Eagles and reigning African Champions, Nigeria, at Moses Mabhida Stadium.



The game to honour former South African President and Global Icon, Nelson Mandela, is expected to produce fireworks as the two Nations spot an array of talent.



Bafana Bafana Coach Gordon Igesund has called up captain, Itumeleng Khune, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Eric Mathoho, Tsepo Masilela, and Bernard Parker from Kaizer Chiefs.



The first Nelson Mandela Challenge was played back in 1994 with Bafana Bafana beating Zambia 2-1 on the same date the Iconic Nelson Mandela was inaugurated as the president. Kaizer Chiefs legend and current Amakhosi' Assistant Coach, Doctor Khumalo, was the star of that afternoon at Ellis Park Stadium, scoring the winner as the country celebrated the new dawn.



In 2012 Zambia beat Bafana Bafana 1-0 at FNB stadium.



Kickoff for the game is at 20h15.
