Kaizer Chiefs Head Coach, Stuart Baxter and goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune were recognised for their performances the third quarter when they won Coach of the Quarter and Player of the Quarter respectively.

Baxter's tactics have left teams with more questions than answers after the just ended quarter accumulating 18 points out of eight games.

Captain, Itumeleng Khune's performances in the last line of defence have been nothing short of breathtaking.

Farouk Khan a Convener for the Team that was selecting the winners said “The two were outstanding and statistics do not lie. It was not a very difficult choice for the panel"

Both Itumeleng Khune and Stuart Baxter won R15 000 each for their efforts.

Khune commented to kaizerchiefs.com; "I am delighted to win the award and it feels good that a goalkeeper has won it at last. I would like to thank the Technical Team, my teammates, staff at Naturena and the supporters.”

"We still have a lot of ground to cover and the unity that has prevailed this season should continue until the last whistle,” added Khune

Baxter added that his team will continue to soldier on; "We are not looking far but it would be nice to give the supporters something to cheer about this season. We are going to continue treating each game like a cup final,"

Baxter has won the Coach of the Quarter Award twice since the launch of the Q-Innovation this season and should be one of the contenders for Coach of the Season Award.
