Stuart Baxter paid a glowing tribute to his players following a hard fought win against Bloemfontein Celtic in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal at the Free State Stadium on Saturday evening, 13 April 2013.
Lincoln Zvasiya header was deflected goal wards by former Chiefs player, Dominic Isaacs for the only goal of the match from Siphiwe Tshabalala' well taken corner kick.
The Glamour Boys are now nine games unbeaten by Celtic and will go into the semifinals draw joined by Platinum Stars, United FC and holders, SuperSport United.
Baxter told kaizerchiefs.com; "I am proud of the players. It is not easy to come here and win two games in a space of two weeks.
"Credit to Coach, Clinton Larsen as they pushed us until last minute forcing a superb save from Itumeleng Khune. They were very organised and kept on going," said Baxter.
The Briton was however critical of the condition of Free State Stadium; "I sympathise with Larsen who has to play on this pitch week in week out.
"These are the two teams that enjoy playing football and the condition of the pitch did not really help.
Asked on which team he would prefer meeting in the semifinal, he said, "Any team that we meet will be tough so we must be ready for anyone.
"We just have to focus on our game and of course this weekend we have a big game, a Soweto Derby against Moroka Swallows in the league," added Baxter.
