Executive Chairman, Kaizer Motaung took time to address the U19 team ahead of their trip to Cape Town where they will be competing in the Metropolitan U19 Premier Tournament previously known as the Bayhill Tournament from Thursday, 28 March to 01 April 2013.

Captain Chincha with Football Manager, Bobby Motaung and members of the Management wished the team all the best on their trip.

“You are very lucky to have an opportunity to go to Cape Town at your age.

Addressing the youngsters who were listening attentively, the Executive Chairman said; “You are all here today to undertake a trip to Cape Town. To some of you it might seem like just a trip and you may not be aware of the importance of this weekend in your football careers.

“You have already started your football history by being here at Kaizer Chiefs. Your journey in football has started. There is a lot at stake and things happen in football that you might not be aware of as you have scouts coming from around the world searching for new talent. It might be a day where you impress somebody as football opens a lot of opportunities.

“It might also be an opportunity for you to make a mark and the Coaches might recommend you to the first team. It will be a start of a dream for you. We get hundreds of emails of young players who want to be part of Kaizer Chiefs Development. This is how important this tournament and every game you play in your life is,” continued Captain Chincha.

“Today if you look at the likes of Andres Iniesta, Xavi and Messi they all came from the La Masia (Barcelona Development side) and they used to train next to the gigantic, Camp Nou. Their dream was to play in that stadium and today they are admired all over the world and living their dream.

“It is the same with you with the FNB Stadium. It is our wish to see you growing together and represent the Club in the near future. I would like to wish you and the coaches all the best in Cape Town,” concluded Motaung.
