Recently retired leftback and former Glamour Boy, Bradley Carnell believes that Kaizer Chiefs has an edge over Orlando Pirates when the two sides meet on Saturday evening at Soccer City Complex.

Carnell who donned the gold and black before going to Europe back in 1998 was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com at SuperSport Studios where is now working as an analyst.

The Glamour Boys have not lost a cup final since 2004 when they lost 1-0 against SuperSport United in the same cup.

“Chiefs are always fired up during cup finals and they should win the cup on Saturday,” he said.

“They are also on form winning three out of three in the league while Orlando Pirates dropped points in Maritzburg. Chiefs also have the experience on their side.

“They will need to neutralize the Orlando Pirates midfield though because they are very strong in that department,” added Carnell.

Jimmy “Brixton Tower” Joubert who was in that all conquering Class of 1984 that won all the trophies also threw his weight behind the boys from Phefeni.

“Winning titles is synonymous with Kaizer Chiefs and I do not see Orlando Pirates stopping them on Saturday. I know the boys will be motivated going to FNB where they will be playing in front of capacity crowd.

Kickoff is at 20:15.
