Tickets for the fan favourite, Carling Black Label Cup pre-season derby match between arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are now on sale at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers and the hospitality packages are purchased via SAIL.

The tickets are selling at a range of R60, R80 and R150. Hisense tickets cost R969.

"Usually the fans get it right, you try and have an open mind about the players selected and try and work with them," said Baxter at the media launch on Monday afternoon.

"The guy on the bench needs to enjoy it. Take in the crowd, learn from it. It’s important to enjoy it. You are in charge. I don’t pay attention to the selections really. If I do, then I will burn myself out thinking about the fan choices. Hopefully after the game the captain won’t come to me and ask for the consumer coach to come back next week," said Baxter giving advice to the selected Champion Coach for the day.

"The Carling Black Label Cup has become something to look forward to in the run up to the start of the new soccer season. The fans get an opportunity to become the Champion Coach which creates an exciting experience to the selected Coach. The Cup seeks to address the needs of the society by promoting responsible drinking and the consumer winner of a draw will use part of their winnings to develop their communities," said the Chairman Kaizer Motaung.

From the inaugural Carling Black Label Cup, South African Breweries have committed R2-million in prize money for the match as part of the deal with the two clubs. The two Chairmen, Irvin Khoza and Kaizer Motaung, then decided to split the prize money, donating R1-million to a Pirates fan and another R1-million to a Chiefs fan for participating and voting in the “Be the Coach” campaign.

The winners will keep R500 000 for themselves while the other R500 000 will be donated by the fan to charities or charitable projects in their local communities.

The first CBL Cup ended with Pirates claiming a penalty shootout win after a 0-0 draw, while the second game saw Pirates win once again by penalties, after the game was drawn 1-1. Chiefs claimed their only CBL Cup win last year when they won 1-0.

The voting has commenced and to enter, fans over the age of 18 must first purchase a specially marked Carling Black Label beer bottle and look for a unique number code on the underside of the bottle top. They must then dial *120*764* followed by the unique code found on the underside of the bottle cap and the # key. They then can choose a team they would like to manage, and their starting line-up.

In order to fully utilise their coaching powers, consumers are urged to effectively do what coaches do; that is vote for their complete starting XI squad, instead of only their favourite players. Voting will be charged as per the USSD rate of 20 cents per 20 seconds.

An exciting addition to this year’s voting process is the option of voting online via www.carlingblacklabel.co.za. On the website, fans will be able to vote for their starting line-up, view their current team and have access to exclusive content about the campaign.
