Chiefs and Pirates legends honour Ace Ntsoelengoe

Legends of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will face each other to honour the late Patrick ‘Ace’ Ntsoelengoe at the Mohlakeng Stadium in Randfontein on Saturday afternoon (kick-off is at 15:00).



Amakhosi legends who will take part include Doctor Khumalo, Siyabonga Nkosi, Derrick Spencer, Cyril Nzama, Tshepo Molatedi and Gardner Seale.



The legends match is part of a whole weekend to honour the ten year anniversary of Ntsoelengoe’s passing on 8 May 2006. The former midfielder is considered as one of the greatest players ever produced in South Africa, a legend here and abroad.



The events will start on Friday, 6 May, with the Mayoral Golf Invitational tournament. Funds raised will go to the Ace Ntsoelengoe Foundation.



On Saturday, there will be the finals of the primary and high school soccer competitions at Randfontein’s Mohlakeng Stadium.



The legends match between Amakhosi and the Buccaneers will start at 15:00.



On Sunday, there will be a wreath laying at Ntsoelengoe’s graveyard.



This will be followed at noon with the renaming of the Mohlakeng Stadium and the unveiling of the plaque ‘Ace’ Ntsoelengoe Stadium.
