Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom arrived to a patiently waiting crowd at the Thabong Mall in Sebokeng on Friday afternoon. The purpose of the Road show as a continuation of planned road shows across the country as a multiple approach by Vodacom and Amakhosi.
The main purpose of the Road show is to promote the league game between Kaizer Chiefs and Black Leopards taking place at Soccer City Complex on Saturday 15 September kick-off 20:15. Tickets are sold at Shoprite/Checkers and Computicket nationwide at R40 for adults and R10 for juveniles.
The Road show allows for bringing the players closer to the public and the supporters. The screaming crowd could not control their excitement when Abia Nale, Lucky Baloyi and Mandla Masango stepped out of the Kaizer Chiefs vehicle to greet and choose five lucky people from the crowd for photo shoot and handshakes.
The public is able to renew Kaizer Chiefs membership and purchase genuine merchandise. Vodacom sales included a variety of airtime from Mpesa, Nightshift and Airtime Advance plus Vodacom Millionaire.
The public engaged in various activities such as PlayStation, Soccer Tables and Target Football. One lucky supporter will walk away with a cellphone hamper as One Man Standing.
Amakhosi supporter Puleng Borole of Kaizer Chiefs Tshepiso Supporters Branch said she liked what Amakhosi did for Sedibeng region. She couldn’t hide her joy at seeing her favourite players and Chiefs officials live at the show.
Chiefs’ delegation included Customer Relations, Communications and Marketing staff.
If the excitement at the show is anything to go by – Reclaiming the Glory has captured the imagination of Amakhosi and the public at large.
