Chiefs’ away kit gets thumbs up

The newly launched away kit has received thumbs up from the players and the fans alike and is surely going to inspire the team this season.



Trio, Bernard Parker, Siyabonga Nkosi and Tefo Mashamaite modelled the jersey on Monday during the launch at Sabc studios in Auckland Park on Monday evening.



Bernard Parker commented; “It was good to have a chance to do a photo shoot in the kit after the end of last season. It feels good, light and I can’t wait to play in it. It is without a doubt the best jersey I have ever worn.”



I remember vividly watching my favourite team during the 2004/2005 season with the likes of Collins Mbesuma wearing more or less the same colour and the Club winning lots of trophies. I am hoping that we will do the same this coming season,” said striker Bernard Parker with a smile.



Tefo Mashamaite speaking kaizerchiefs.com said; “A jersey has become an important part of the identity of the team. I feel that the jersey is going to give us a sense of style in the upcoming season. The obsiquant blue will certainly give us inspiration and new direction this season.”



Siyabonga Nkosi who is on his second spell with the Club echoed the sentiments of this teammates saying; “The jersey is light and also it is the kind of jersey that certainly meets the demands of modern football.



Marketing Director Jessica Motaung added; “the new kit combines modern sport and youth style and will give the Club an iconic look this season,”



The kit was also given thumbs up from Sabc presenters BBK and David Kekana and also social media sites were abuzz on Monday evening with Club’s faithful expressing their delight on the new kit.



The kit will on sale on Thursday, 12 July 2012 at Kaizer Chiefs Retail Store in Naturena.
