Kaizer Chiefs in partnership with their main sponsors Vodacom brought smiles to the Club’s faithful at Kagiso Mall on Friday, 28 September as they continue with their Roadshows.

Following successful roadshows in Qwaqwa, Vaal and Mpumalanga this time around Kagiso Branch was the hosts as fans turned out in numbers to support the initiative despite the windy weather.

The fans were once more entertained with music and as a norm there were lot of prizes in store for fans as Kagiso Branch Officer, Lesley Seboge (32) remarked to kaizerchiefs.com ; “This has been the best thing to happen to us as the branch to host Kaizer Chiefs and sponsors, Vodacom. This initiative has brought lot of happiness to the people of Kagiso who support the Club through and through.

“As a branch the initiative allowed us to help recruit more members but most importantly educate fans about their behaviour at the stadiums. The fans were able to win prizes and also buy Club’s authentic merchandise from the mobile Kaizer Chiefs Retail Store. We were also very happy to interact with officials from Marketing, Communications and Supporters Relations.

“I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the branch and thank Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom for such initiative aimed at taking the Club to the people. We have a very clear message for the team and the Coach; keep up the good work, we are behind you through and through. Together we will Reclaim The Glory,” added the visibly elated Seboge.

Maphosa who together with some members of the Management joined the occasion thanked the people of Kagiso for supporting the initiative despite the efforts of the weather; “We were quite concerned with the weather but Amakhosi Amahle as they have always done came out in numbers dressed in the colourful Chiefs regalia creating a wonderful atmosphere at Kagiso Mall.

“We once more had an opportunity to promote our properties, spoke to the fans about counterfeit and we asked them to join the Club to stamp out hooliganism at the stadium. Fans should STOP booing players but should rally behind the team at all times.

“The fans are all behind the team ahead of the Absa Premiership fixture against Chippa United. Some of the fans here won tickets to the game and once more we expect big numbers at the stadium on Saturday. Thank you to Kagiso Branch for hospitality,” added Maphosa.
