Kaizer Chiefs preparations for the Premier League starting on Tuesday next week continued as the Glamour Boys drew 1 all with the visiting top Angolan side, Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto.
Keegan Ritchie scored with a stunning free kick in the first half with the visitors grabbing an equaliser in the last half. The competitive encounter was played at the Chiefs Village in Naturena.
The Glamour Boys threatened throughout the first half with attempts from Siyabonga Nkosi, Kingston Nkhatha and Sthembiso Ngcobo.
Club Desportivo currently lying no. 2 in the Angolan Primere Division and on Camp preparing for the Champions League campaign came strongly in the second stanza of the game but found Chiefs wall of Eric Mathoho, Tefu Mashamaite, Keegan Ritchie and Kgotso Moleko and later joined by Morgan Gould in an uncompromising mood – but eventually the visiting side equalised to force a draw.
There were promising performances from the likes of George Lebese and Mandla Masango and Head Coach, Stuart Baxter would be pleased with the way his charges approached the game.
