Swaziland international striker Sibusiso Dlamini fired Kaizer Chiefs to the top of the Castle Premiership seat with a 29th minute goal in their Castle Premiership match against Ajax Cape Town at Ellis Park on Sunday.

The Amakhosi victory also ended the Urban Warriors' unbeaten run in the league and condemned them third on the log. Chiefs missed countless opportunities and came close to giving away a goal in the dying minutes as the visitors kept piling the pressure.

The final whistle was met with a huge sigh of relief among the Amakhosi supporters.

Dlamini pounced on a clever through ball from midfield talisman John "Shoes" Moshoeu on 29 minutes to put Chiefs in the lead. The Swazi star did well under pressure from the Ajax defence to slip the ball past Moeneeb Josephs.

Moshoeu was at his usual best and led by example in midfield. He could have also registered his name on the scoreboard had not been for his generosity and unselfishness.

While Dlamini netted the all-important goal that ensured maximum points he could have netted more than just a solitary strike bar his countless missed chances.

One such opportunity was in the 54th minute. Chiefs were on the attack with winger Arthur Zwane laying the ball to Dlamini but the Swazi international was hesitant and when he finally released the ball the Ajax defence had already covered their lines.

That the crowds came in their droves was not surprising as both sides have been playing exciting football. The fact that they went into the game with an unbeaten record also added more spice to this duel. One observer joked that the supporters had come in their numbers to see only one play - Moshoeu.
