David Radebe had an early opportunity to give Chiefs the lead in the 23rd minute when he was dealt a one-on-one situation, however Dynamos keeper Arthur Bartman showed experience in dealing with the attack well.
Thabo Mooki saw a free-kick soar over the crossbar, but his shot never really posed a threat for the goalkeeper.
In the 39th minute Bartman saved well from another Amakhosi chance, Radebe hit a spectacular scissors kick from a wide ball.
A first-half full of rued opportunities, a disappointing showing from the League Champions.
Dynamos broke the deadlock, against the run of play, he sped past the Chiefs defence and had an easy finish rounding a bewildered Rowen Fernandez into an empty net.
Arthur Zwane was causing problems down the flank for the Dynamos defence and he crossed in an excellent ball for Radebe who managed to turn well and shoot, however his shot was stopped easily.
Chiefs looked the stronger side throughout the game and will be disappointed to not have taken maximum points.
Possible man-of-the-match Bevan Fransman was brilliant throughout the night, he saw an excellent volley saved brilliantly by Bartman.
The Mighty Amakhosi had to wait till the 88th minute to equalise after Collins Mbesuma played a square ball to Arthur Zwane who crashed his shot from range, into the back of the net.
Both sides pushed for a winner however, neither side could penetrate one another’s back-line.
Chiefs will be disappointed to walk away with only a single point from a game against a team that they were expected to rout.
