The Amakhosi juniors started the tournament successfully with a 1-0 win against the UAE Junior National team. It was a very tough and physical game but the junior Amakhosi managed to win nevertheless.
The winning goal was scored by Stephen Faba in the 43rd minute of the first half. More good news for the team was that Bamose Gololo was voted man-of-the-match and won a Nokia cellphone.
The second game played on Monday 28th March saw Chiefs play against Al Raja from Morocco. The Moroccan team scored in the fifth minute of the opening of the game after putting the Amakhosi under pressure from the first whistle.
Chiefs equalised in the 35th minute through a header by Lawrence Molekwane. The second half was tough and physical but the players absorbed the pressure and did not concede further goals. The game ended in a 1-1 draw and the Moroccans congratulated the boys on their performance.
Once more another Amakhosi star Stephan Faba, was voted man-of-the-match and he too walked away with a Nokia cellphone.
The team is off on Tuesday and Wednesday and will only resume the tournament on Wednesday with a match against Al Jazira from UAE at Al Nahyan Stadium, kick-off 19:30pm AUE time (17:30 SA time).

Monday and Tuesday (4th and 5th) 1st and 2nd of each group play-offs and then semifinals and finals on the 5th April
